| Every year or two, the clouds part and a rare and sacred convergence of Jewish men manifests itself rapture-like. In these instances of brilliance, the quorum creates a whole greater than the sum of the parts and divinely inspired speech and discourse flows as if manna from heaven. Such words of wisdom come down through the awl of the scrivener and become forever engraved on a tablet immediately imbued with sanctity for the words it carries. In this case the tablet is of a paper so thick and absorbent as to be like cloth, only disposable.
